Using the Share Widget

When the Share Widget is enabled, users can click the share icon to display the URL fragment for the current page location. The widget provides:

Copy Link

Displays the fragment portion of the Landmark URL and copies it to the clipboard for pasting into emails, documents, or chat applications.

How Stable Links Work

The Share Widget displays and copies URLs using Landmark IDs in the format:

https://example.com/help/#/ab9147fe21c0d4b2

When users visit this URL, the Reverb JavaScript runtime resolves the Landmark ID and redirects to the actual content page. For more information about Landmark IDs, see Landmark IDs.

Note: The Share Widget requires JavaScript to be enabled in the browser. The generated Landmark URLs also require JavaScript for the initial redirect to the target content.
